WASHINGTON D.C. MONUMENTS

Today we had a long day which we spent in Washington DC... the day started off at Nevada's house (the house where I am staying) which was full of girls, because there had been an all girl sleepover the night before, and we were all trying to get dressed and ready so we would be on time for school! We had to take the bus at 8am from the school and then to the metro, and, at last, we were in DC. When we arrived there, we were ready to walk a lot in order to see all the monuments in the city. So yes, we walked, and we walked a lot. We saw the White House (where President Obama lives with his family), the Capitol, the Washington monument, the World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans memorial, the Lincoln Memorial., the Korean War Veterans memorial.... Each of these sights are amazing.

In the afternoon, we met our exchange hosts and went home back to their families. At 7pm we went back to Good Counsel because many of the students had something to celebrate: our hosts have been accepted into the National Honor Society due to their good grades and hard work at school... I just have to say: I'M PROUD OF YOU ALL!
