GOODBYE...

Hey! today has been our last day here in Maryland... In the morning I got up at 9:30 and I had already packed my suitcase. We had breakfast in Dunkin Donuts, it was very tasty! At 15:15 all of us met at the airport, we had a stressfull moment because the teachers couldn't find one of the passports, but, hopefully, they could find it. Then, we said goodbye to everyone and we got on the plane…

A DAY OFF

Today we woke up from our sleepover at Hailey's house. Some of us went to have breakfast at Panera. After we ate, Hailey drove us to the mall where we met up with some more friends and their partners. We did lots of shopping! The mall is so big and we had the chance to find whatever we needed before leaving. Around 3pm we went to the food court and each of us got lunch. Some people had sushi, others had Chinese food...Later on, we continued with our shopping until we left to Raquel's house. Once there, we waited for the other people to arrive, and we had a barbecue. There were burgers and hot dogs, and we also had potato salad. After that, we sat down all together, played some games and explained some gossips.

Today, when we woke up at Hailey's house, none of us had really slept so we were so tired.

We went to the mall and we had a long shopping day. We ate sushi, chicken, hamburgers....

After that we went to a "party" at Rakel's house, we had a lot of fun and we ate different American food, hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, beans... The end of the party was pretty sad as we realised we were gonna leave in less than 24 hours.

VISIT TO MOUNT VERNON: GEORGE WASHINGTON'S HOME

Hey guys!

Today we went to Mount Vernon, where George Washington lived parts of his life. We had a great time there, and some of us could buy some souvenirs from the shop. Then everyone went with their partners and some of us changed our clothes to red, white and blue ones because we had to wear it for the game. , Later, at 7pm we went to the game, and they won! Now we're all at Hailey's house, we had dinner, we did a bonfire and we're going to sleep all together. It was a wonderful day. Good night!

A NEW DAY AT SCHOOL

Today we spent the day at Our Lady of Good Counsel school. We experienced more or less the daily routine of a typical American kid our age. The only difference is that during some parts of the school day we were in the library or walking along the school while other students attended classes. We also ate a nice free buffet where you can take whatever you want.  A curious thing we did today is that in the Spanish class some of us sang the hymn of Barça to the students. For the majority of us, today was an exciting day because we experienced many things inside the school.

After a long and interesting morning spent in Good Counsel High School, our host families decided to take Mireia, Cristina and I to Krispy Kreme where we enjoyed tasting the best doughnuts we have ever had! We also had a lot of fun driving karts with our American friends. We realised that even the race tracks are bigger in the USA!

WASHINGTON MONUMENT AND MEMORIALS

This morning I had breakfast at home before going to the school. 
Once we were there, we went to Washington D.C. on a school bus. 
When we arrived, we visited very important memorials: T. Jefferson's, Linkon's and where Luther King had given his speech. We also saw the Corea's, Vietnam's and WWII  memorials. Then, we saw the Washington monument and the White House where we couldn’t get too close!
After that, we went to Chinatown to eat lunch, and get to know other parts of D.C.
In the afternoon I had dinner in a restaurant while my partner was training volleyball, and later I went to the school to see her match.
Today has been a long day, but I’ve enjoyed visiting the most emblematic parts of Washington D.C.

Today was a great day and we visited a lot of new things that most of us havdn't seen before. 

In the morning I woke up and had breakfast with my partner and my host family. After that, we drove to Good Counsel to pick up our lunches and to get the school bus which was taking us to Washington DC.

In DC we visited the president Lincoln's and Jefferson's memorials and we also went to the Korean's War, Vietnam's War and II World War memorials. It was really impressive to see all the names of people who died fighting written all over the wall.

The last place we went to in DC was Chinatown where we had lunch and walked around for a bit. Then, we headed back to school and went to have dinner all together.

Finally, I went to watch a volleyball game because my partner was playing but unfortunately they lost.

FIRST VISIT TO WASHINGTON DC

Today, we woke up early to go to school. There we met up with other students and we went to Washington DC. We visited two museums: the Natural History and the Air and Space. Both of them were very interesting. Later we came back to school. After that, Marc, Daniel and me played videogames at home.

WASHINGTON D.C

Today we went to school early in the morning to take a bus with the rest of the group and go to Washington D.C. It took 1hour in the bus but we listened to some music so we had fun . 

First of all we visited the Natural History museum where we saw lots of animals and we learnt about the human evolution. After that we had lunch and some free time. To finish the visit in Washington D.C we visited the Air and Space museum: it was amazing!

To end the day we webt to the shopping centre to buy some clothes and we had sushi for dinner.

WELCOME BBQ

Today as we didn’t have to go to school I woke up late. After that , I had some fruit for breakfast and I got dressed up because we were going to a party at Kennedy’s house. Once we were there we met with the other students and their host families, it was a bit strange because we were going to have dinner at 4 pm. Every family brought some food and it was all delicious. Then when we finished having dinner we all went to the cinema room and we hang out there with all the students. We had a lot of fun!!
